Fortunately, for ease of finding the kind of book we want to read, interested people have made a study of all the different kinds of books, and sorted them (based on shared characteristics like content or style or literary techniques), into categories, or genres. (Sort of like being Sorted into a House at Hogwarts!) There are a lot more than 4 genre, though -- this word search has but 30 of all the possible genre in it!
