Coraline-Week 4-Activity 1-A Dark Twist

Post by Emily Spencer »

As Coraline learns more about the Other Mother’s world and intentions, the OM becomes far less concerned with making it look like home. Things that were cozy and familiar are suddenly dilapidated and strange.

For this task, we’d like you to take an “ordinary” room or object (like a kitchen or a piece of comfy furniture) and put an unsettling twist on it so that it looks like something Coraline might encounter. While we’re hoping for something a little bit creepy, please remember that HOL is an all-ages website so you shouldn’t go too dark and frightening. If in doubt, run your idea by us before posting.

You can either describe your room or object in 100 words or create a graphic of it. If you go the graphics route, please keep your image to 600X600 pixels, upload it to an image hosting website, and share the link.

Room with the door, shelf and mirror now lost it's colour, looks abandoned and shows eerie reflection in mirror.
