Books? Check! Snacks? Check! Fuzzy slippers? Check! Time to pack for a trip, people! But this is no ordinary trip, mind you, It's a literary road trip. Together we will travel the highways and byways of this little planet we call Earth through books. Sounds exciting?! Let's get rolling!
Quick Overview:
1. Upon signing up you will be assigned a letter of the alphabet in consecutive order. For example, the first person will receive letter A, the second will receive letter B..and so on. Once you receive your literary 'ticket', here's what you do...
2. Each book you read must have the name of a location beginning with your letter in its title. Either that, or it must be set mainly in a location that again, starts with your letter.
For example:
Let's say Sky signs up first and gets the letter A. She could read Looking For Alaska by John Green. Or she could choose Tongues of Serpents by Naomi Novik which is set in Australia.
3. To move on to another location/letter, you must read at least 2 books with your original letter. You can then choose to move on or stay on your present course. Using Sky again, after she read the two required novels she could exchange her 'ticket' for B or choose to stay on the A road.
4. There is no limit on the books you choose to read. This is your trip, so enjoy it how you will. Each book will earn you 10 beans.
5. Once you read your book, you will have to post about it. After all, what's the point of going on a trip without sharing your experience?! To do this, you could post a review or a presenting author in The Bookshelf. You could also be a new discussion or contribution to an existing one in Between the Pages. Once you have posted, you will need to send me (Emily Spencer) a forum pm with the link.
6. If you ever need any help finding a book, please pm me and I will be glad to offer suggestions.
7. If you read at least 4-5 books, you will receive a nice shiny award to add to your collection.

Note: We will be skipping over the letter X as there are not enough destinations with that letter to be fair.
