Post by Hannah Lovegood »

Title: How Groundhog's Garden Grew
Author: Lynne Cherry
Genre: Children's Fiction

The groundhog was stealing food from his friends but he apologized. Squirrel offered to help him grow a garden. So, then they went to squirrel's garden and got little seeds. Then it was winter so they both went to hibernate. Then it was spring and they found a nice spot for his garden and they planted the seeds. He watched his plants grow into big plants. The praying mantis said that if you don't use bug killer on us we'll help protect your garden from bad bugs. He said, “Ok, we can do that.” Then he watched as the flowers wilted and he started to see little plants. Then some of the tomatoes started to turn red. Then at fall, groundhog and squirrel made up some food with their veggies and they had too much so they had a feast and invited all their friends.
