Again, we have a guideline for reading the book in the month of April, but please do read it at your own pace and post when you have finished a certain section.

1-7 April: Chapters 1- 15
8-14 April: Chapters 16 - 25
15-21 April: Chapters 26 - 42
22- 30 April: Chapters 43 -59

I may have been a while since I've read this book, but I remember it like night and day. I was drawn to it when the description of the book said there were readers involved in the story and I thought I could relate. When I got further into the story, it combined my favorite genre, fantasy! Reading this made my mind become creative about the journeys I want to take as I am reading the book, and any other book for that matter I have read the book before the movie came out and I want to note: DON'T SEE THE MOVIE!! If you like Inkheart, I would further yourself into the sequels: Inkspell and Inkdeath. The trilogy made want to create a book series at the time. I did work on it as this "creation" helped me escape the depression and just flat out life issues I was having at the time.

Oh gosh how i loved Inkheart when i was younger. i was still very deep into Harry Potter and Ann McCaffery and Tamora Pierce. i remember asking my librarian, a very good friend of mine by that time, for any recommendations and she suggested Inkheart which had just come out. i read it obsessively three times before moving on to Eragon. i still remember some of the book even though it's been years and years since i read it. the main character truck cords pretty deep in my heart for her lonely nature and her bibliophile nature. it was a book that actually rekindled my desire to write again and i ended up getting into fan fiction shortly after reading the book. never wrote anything for Inkheart itself but it did inspire me to write, and write a lot,so that counts right? a highly recommended book that i'm going to have to read again.

I love Inkheart! Remembered reading it tons of time during my teen years. Recently came to find out there was a movie adaption to. So happy to hear that although it seems there won't be a 2nd part because the ending is different from the novel itself. That book was the one that got me into writing and also made me have the same habit I have till today, putting the book I read before under my pillow when I sleep

Bull, a heads up was given here, on March 9th and again on the 31st of March. But you still have time to go to the library, get the book -- and catch up! This will last all month long and it's only the 3rd right now.

Inkheart is certainly a favorite of mine! I have recommended it to many a lover of fantasy, or of books! It's a celebration, adventure, mystery, etc! I think I may have put a blurb about the book in the Monthly Recommendation threads that used to be in the Book Club. The list, if it's still around, would tell you the month and year--maybe both are archived. Prof. Opal

I've never read the book or seen the movie, but after a "Oh, I haven't been to the library in awhile" realization, I went and got Inkheart a few days ago. It turned out to be a good idea because there is absolutely nothing going on at work today and I've already read through chapter 16.
