I've been some form of "Kai" online for the past eight years or so. Sometimes just Kai, other times with different endings. I like it becuase it's a very gender neutral name to begin with, but that can be changed by adding different endings to it. "Kailen" is still very gender neutral though. "Tammas" is my last name on SecondLife (where Kailen is also my first name), and I just decided to use the same name here.

I've always used this name on Harry Potter or wizard interactives. I wanted an old-fashioned viking-sounding name so I chose Bertha and something kind of witchy, so I chose Moon. Plus I think it was kind of around the time of Prisoner of Azkaban that I made it up. So I've had this name for what?--- 8 years? This is the only site I'm on now though.

I just loved my grandmothers name 'Ardeliah' and I didn't have any daughters to give it to and this just seemed the perfect place to use it.

Since I just love Neville I had to use his last name.

Well I wanted a completely unique and different name so that I don't end up sharing my first name/surname with someone. And I love Draco Malfoy's character and generally the Malfoys(when they're not portrayed as evil Death Eaters) so following Black tradition I wanted to name myself after a constellation and I chose Aquila(The Eagle) as it represents something majestic, powerful and intriguing (like the malfoys) whilst being a pretty name:P.And Rosier is Narcissa's mother's maiden name and also a fallen angel of love plus it means 'rose tree/bush' in french so again it is something seen as beautiful but still follows the Malfoy/Black theme behind my names /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> .

Everyone seems to have really good reasons for their name and I just... chose mine, randomly. I've always liked the name Isabella. I was almost Isabella when I was born but my dad didn't like it. In french class we had to pick french names and I was Isabelle. And Andromeda is Tonks's mom's name in the book and I thought it sounded pretty. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I almost made my name Mandy because the Jonas Brothers have a song called Mandy, but I didn't like that name as much. So Izzy it is. (Izzy is in the disney movie, Jump In, but a boy and played by Corbin Bleu, but it's a good nickname.)

Well, recently my favorite flower became the Rose; and Mei in Chinese, if said or written in a row, means younger sister- and I'm younger than most of my friends. So I put it together and became Mei-Rose.

In most role-plays, or fanfictions where I add a Slytherin character, I use Potestas because I find it fits. Potestas is latin for power, and Slytherin's like power.

And there I have, Mei-Rose Potestas!

I googled Filipino baby names (because I'm a Filipina) and I went to a site that listed some Filipino god/goddess/deity names. I noticed Dayea and liked it right away. Warbeck is just the last name of the famous Singing Sorceress in the Harry Potter series, Celestina Warbeck.

Edana is a celtic name and has a number of meanings which are all related. I liked hearing that it can mean "little flame" or "fiery".

Holmes came to me as a result of a search on the internet. The surname can mean "Meadow lands near or surrounded by water, grassy plains; sometimes an island."

The name appealed because I can have a fiery temperament, my hair has natural highlights which have been compared to fire, and I'm shorter than than the average girl. I would love to live in a cottage near water as I find it soothes my fiery nature. It seemed like the perfect name. I didn't want to take a name from any of the characters in the HP books and I find that this one fits me rather well.

Well my story isn't as interesting as all of yours!! My first name Dean, well, I always liked the name Dean in real life, and it fitted perfectly with one of the Harry Potter characters. My last name is Wendelin. In Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, the name of Wendelin popped up, and I choose that out of all the other names I picked to be mine for Hogwarts???

Aileen Thomas is actually the name of a RPG character I played a long time ago. I think it was in a Star Trek simulation, in fact, in a bygone era. So it was one of the first names that came into my mind when I was thinking about what to call my character here.

As for a little added meaning...

Aileen: (ay-LEEN) My first name is a Gaelic/Scottish name meaning 'light' or 'light bearer', or even 'green meadow', according to which sites you find.

Thomas: It's just a generic last name, and was not inspired, at least not consciously, by the HP character Dean Thomas. In fact, I don't think I'd actually read Harry Potter yet when I thought of it.

I thought of my name Ford Crick when I was reading A Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy, I really like Ford Prefect. For my last name, I picked Crick because I was watching Stranger then Fiction and his name was Harold Crick. I though Crick sounded like a name that might be from an HP book.
