Great movie? Milo and Otis by far. Who doesn't love a story about a cat and a dog who live on a farm but end up lost in the great wide somewhere? And those animals are so well trained. I've loved Milo and Otis since I was a kid. Ahhh fond memories /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

This topic makes for a very challenging choice; but my favorite film to date has to be the Chinese movie Hero, a film that is a true work of art, one which just happens to be in movie format.

The film is in no way about Zen, but it is Zen. And, for someone who is neither an adherent of Eastern philosophy nor a serious student of Chinese history, it gave me a heart-level understanding of a culture almost wholly different from anything I've ever known.

The fantastic special effects don't hurt, either. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Still, the story and its complex subplots are always the motive force behind the action.

This is one of the few movies I've seen about which I can still say a year later, "I'll never see life in quite the same way again."
