I was known by my family as the "Grey Child" ever since I was born, but as they found out that there was a "Grey Lady" ghost in the HP books, they renamed me the "Grey Lady" as I got older. Penguins are my favourite animals, and they relate to me in some ways. I love smimming and diving, hence the name Cascade, meaning "waterfall". So, I put the name together and vamoose.

Zany is my nickname at school, but it also describes me. After being so angelically studious at school I just kind of run wild at home, especially with friends around. Boulad is a combination of an Arabic word meaning "strength" and the name of a special someone. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I got my name from 2 seperate places. Delta was a girl in a class of mine, I thought it was a cool name so I used it. Birch I saw in a book ( I forget which one), as a person's last name, so I decided to use it. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Right I always knew my surname would be sparkle as I were a lot of glittery eyeshadows so my friends always say I sparkle when we go out. I wanted my first name to begin with the same letter as my real first name so my boyfriend came up with Nigella - I think he likes Nigella Lawson the cook! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Many thanks to the lovely cho at the palace for my beautiful signature

How did I choose my name?
Gaius was a common Roman first name, and the rest...I have no idea.

My HOL name. Well. I'm pretty interested in Russian so I decided that it would be a Russian name. So I chose name "Daria", (which, by the way, means "queen"). But then I for some reason added y in the name and it became Dariya. I thought it looked pretty much better than just Daria.
And then. Akimova. It's just a Russian surname that I liked.
(Pretty boring story...)

A note for Ciaran and others who 'feel safe' enough to use their real names here:
Yes, HOL has child safety guidelines and the mods do their best to make sure the site is as friendly and safe as possible, but *please* remember that you don't have to be registered to see this forum.
*Anyone*, anywhere in the world can see things posted here; it is just as public as anywhere else on the internet, so you still need to be vigilant about what information you make known about yourself - don't let your guard drop because HOL is a 'regulated' site.
HOL strongly discourages people from using their real names for this very reason - quoted from the HOL handbook, section 2.3:
QUOTE It is highly recommended that you do not use your real name.[/quote]
(If you are worried because you've put your real name and want to change it (and NOT just because you don't like the name you've made up for yourself!), consult section 2.3 of the handbook for instructions on what to do about it - changing HOL names creates a LOT of work, and will only be done for safety etc reasons, not to satisfy whims.)
Of course we can't stop you using your real name, but if you absolutely must use it, do not draw attention to the fact!

I found the name Eminor in this book i read once, and thought it was so cool I had to look it up. It turns out, Eminor means "menace" in latin. So I've been using Eminor Mico for my internet name, but when this said you have to have a last name I figured that Mico wouldnt do. The name Lexmark is actualy just the name of a brand of printer ink /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />.
PS: I love your name Emily Vale!

I chose mine because I thought it would be unique. It is also the name I use in many of my Harry Potter Fiction. I could have used Demini, but that's for mt Dragonball Z ones.
I also have a thing for sapphires. Mabey it's because it's my birthstone. Oh well, I just like the way it sounds. As for the Kardell part, it just popped into my mind one day. For a while, it was Smith. But that's too generic. So Kardell was born. And the pair flows togethers nicely.

You may laugh now... but will you be laughing when I crawl out from under your bed?
