I've been a HP fan since the beginning, but I've never been in an online community like that before. I've seen forums around and such but none as amazing and fantabulous as this! I've only taken part in fan fiction communities here and there. So happens that I was in Muggle school, feeling bored, musing about Harry Potter and the HBP, when I randomly typed in 'virtual hogwarts' into the Yahoo! search engine for fun. Little did I know.

A couple hours later, I read the handbook twice and signed up, got myself all registered. I'm really excited to be part of HOL now and can't wait for Autumn term to begin. I'm still feeling quite lost and really 'newbie', and hope to make new friends and get acquainted. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I got sorted into Gryffindor, so hi fellow lions! /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> A few more points away I would've been in Ravenclaw (which I expected to be sorted in at first).

17 year old and definitely Muggle-born (poor clueless parents), my darling Godmother however, is very magickal. She has lived with Native Americans and their Shamans, African priestesses, Wiccan priestesses, many more. She's a eerily accurate psychic and her divination skills are just scary. I love her.

I'm an old soul, a free spirit, positively neurotic. I adore books, I read absolutely everything. I'm currently reading 'Dead to the World' by Charlaine Harris as well as 'Women Who Run with the Wolves' by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Ph. D. I'd wither and die away without music, favourite genre being jazz. I often find animals more interesting of company than my fellow Muggles.

What else, what else. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I love creating art, especially mixed-media collages. I play the piano and the saxophone (latter being my favourite). Yes I hapeen to ramble too. So I better zip it!

Hi everyone, I'm Jennalee Hessler, a first year Gryff. Hmm, i don't really know what to say about myself, so maybe i'll give the history of my character.

I am half blooded with a wizard father and a Muggle mother. I am the eldest of the Hessler children (There's 3 of us). My father owns his own Quidditch shop and does business with all of the top rate Quidditch teams and my mother is an orthodontist. I also have a pet Puffskein named Tallulah and a Snow Owl named Wynter.

Hello, I'm Sieryn Atwater! I'm 15 years old, a first year Ravenclaw. It's where I kind of expected to be Sorted into, although Hufflepuff was a close runner-up.

I play the flute, and one of my fellow flutist friends told me about HOL. Intrigued, I checked it out and signed up right away.

I'm a half-blood witch. My mother was a Muggle, although she practiced Wicca, a religion which she handed down to me. She died when I was 7. My father left me with my eldest cousin around that time; I don't know what's become of him. However, I'm very happy with Korryn, my cousin. She's 27 now, but not a hint of magic in her...

I love to write, read, and draw. Singing is another hobby of mine. I'm not often bored, and I love meeting new people. /happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />

I've been especially into the Harry Potter books since the 6th one came out... It just made me want to run to Hogwarts and... do mean things to mean people. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ph34r:" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

But anyway... I have a black cat (yes, I know it's a cliche, but she's so adorable! <3) named Danika, a Slavic name meaning Morning Star. It fits her; she's definitely a morning-cat, whereas I am definitely not a morning person, heheh...

I have to say I don't really get along with narrow-minded people, such as those who think werewolves should all be rounded up and shot, but I do believe everyone should have their own opinion, so... yeah. /happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />

My name is Shali Conyero, I'm in Gryffindor, and I guess I'll have to resign myself to being a first year. I was a first year last year, and took a half term class (Animal Myth. I). Towards the end of the class, something happened, and the professor couldn't teach anymore, and so another took over, I think...it was kind of confusing. Some way or another (since no one told me) I failed the class, though I did the homework, final, and extra credit. I missed sign-ups for second term, so here I am, a very experienced first year.

Hello! ::waves:: I'm Kat, a first year Ravenclaw. I found this site through a comment on muggle_net's live journal. It seems like a lot of fun! I'm looking forward to starting classes.

I'm big into Doctor Who and anime/manga besides Harry Potter. Mercedes Lackey and Anne Bishop are two of my favorite fantasy authors. I also teach Latin IRL.

I have read all the books nearly ten times over (except the newest only twice so far), have the movies, yes I'm obsessed!

I am 23 years old, so I'm one of the more "mature" HP fans, heh heh. I'm about to move to Edmonton (I'm from Ontario, Canada) and start a brand new school year there! I'm going for a Master's in Library Science. Yes, I hope to be a librarian one day!! And of course, I'll also be attending Hogwarts for some extra credit. <grin>.

Hi!
I'm Finelda and I'm a first year as well. I'm in Ravenclaw and am looking forward to the start of the school year. Not so much the real world school year as much as Hogwarts but that is the way it goes.
Harry Potter has become a bit of an obsession for me, though not in a bad way (yet!).
I hope everyone has a great school year and makes lots of friends!
