We get into the first chapters and all is well, and then, suddenly, a curse has descended upon the castle.
Apparently, the means to locate the secret chamber have been hidden in one or more rooms of the castle -- but, in some nefarious twist of fate, suddenly a bunch of the rooms of the castle cannot be entered, or, in some instances, cannot even be seen. Doors have vanished, the actual dimensions of the castle as known, have changed and altered to where there is no space for the room which had been there.
What to do? We, of Book Club, consulted with some puissant witches and wizards, and they, one and all, agreed that the castle had been cursed. We need to come up with a counterspell for the curse! This will abolish and/or lift the curse, and thus allow the hidden vital room to become visible again.
Then we can get on with finding the secret chamber, so the story can continue.
Join us as we assemble the clues and find out what the counter-curse might be! We'll be having weekly puzzles and discussions and challenges, starting March 1st. Each successful completed activity will provide part of the solution and we can come up with a counter-curse. Then we get all of Hogwarts visible again, including whatever room contains the secret of finding the Chamber of Secrets!
PS Also, wouldn't it be interesting to find out who, or what, cursed the castle, in the first place?
