Marketing Department - Press Release

Post by Prof. Amy Lupin »

You have the opportunity to sit in on a meeting with the marketing department. As it is the beginning of the quarter, they're busy determining the schedule for the next few months. There are advertising campaigns to plan, promotional materials to organise, market research to conduct, and press releases to write.

One particular book is nearing completion and a release date has been finalised for it. The marketing team has instructed their copywriter to draft a press release to help generate interest for it, and they suggest you shadow her for the day.

Task:

Come up with a book that would fit in with the wizarding world and share some information about it. Then write a press release for it. Some things to consider including: a catchy headline, the release date, details about the book, the author's background, who the audience is, price of the book. Your press release should be a minimum of 100 words.

Post your press releases below by 11:59 PM on 26 October. You'll earn 20 beans for this task

Bramble Publishers proudly announces the publication of Whispers Beneath the Waxing Moon by noted folklorist and historian Elsbeth Graeves. Releasing on All Hallows’ Eve, this beautifully bound volume invites readers into the shrouded moors and misted fens of the north, where moonlight reveals more than meets the eye.

This hauntingly beautiful anthology gathers ghost stories, regional superstitions, and protective charms from wizarding communities across the northern fens and moors. Through Graeves’ meticulous research and lyrical storytelling, readers are transported into eerie landscapes where spectral horsemen ride, bewitched lanterns glow, and old magic lingers long after death.

Graeves, a professor of Magical Folklore at St. Wytham’s College and a frequent contributor to The Wizarding Historical Review, brings decades of research to this deeply atmospheric collection. Written in a style that bridges academic study and fireside storytelling, Whispers Beneath the Waxing Moon is perfect for scholars, folklore enthusiasts, and lovers of ghostly tales alike.

Presented in midnight-blue binding with silver foiling and an embossed lantern emblem, the book is as enchanting to hold as it is to read. Whispers Beneath the Waxing Moon will be available in hardcover for 12 Galleons, paperback for 8 Galleons, and charmed digital edition for 5 Galleons through select wizarding booksellers and Bramble’s Diagon Alley shopfront.
