End of Year 2025 (and an update)

Post by Prof. Kyrie Adderholt »

Another school year has wrapped and it is time to award this year's house cup!

In fourth place, with 27,451 points, we have the bravest lions I know - Gryffindor! The oh so cunning snakes of Slytherin finished the year with 30,566 points, which is enough to earn them third place! This year's runner-up is the hard-working badgers of Hufflepuff with 32,185 points! And finally, with 37,691 points, the wisest of them all, the eagles of Ravenclaw win this year's house cup for the...I can't even keep track even more... year in a row! Congratulations Eagles!!!

We have another repeat winner this year! Keeping the crown as HOL's Top Points Earner, Janne Halla earned an astounding 4,443 points! Will he be able to go for the three-peat next year?!

As always, I'd like to take this time to thank a few special members of HOL whose endless work behind the scenes is what makes HOL what it is. Prof. Sky Alton and Prof. Sindor Aloyarc are owed a huge round of applause for everything they do, especially since they do it so well!

I'd also like to thank Prof. Amy Lupin for returning this year and immediately jumping straight into the deep end of administrative work. She has taken an immeasurable amount of stress off of the HO this year and it is very much appreciated!

And last, but not least, I'd like to thank Mia Fountain and Emily Spencer. They have recently completed their terms as Head Students after many years of hard-work and dedication. On behalf of the entire HO, thank you both and congratulations on a job not only done, but a job done truly well.

Finally, I'm sure most of you have been waiting to hear from the HO about the future of HOL. We are still exploring options to make sure we give HOL every chance of surviving into the future. That being said, HOL will remain open for the coming year. At this time we are unable to give an answer about what will happen after next year, but we hope to have a more definite answer for everyone closer to the start of term.

Enjoy your summer, and we will see you in the Fall! *throws confetti*
