I have a confession..
I am a Judge Judy junkie! I love court dramas in general, but she is my absolute favorite. What about you? Do you like courtroom dramas? Why or why not? If you do, who is your favorite judge?

Re: Court Dramas
I freaking adore Judge Judy! There are some things I don't agree with her on but most of her responses to people trying to pull one over on her and the other person in court are always so good.
I also really loved watching Judge Mathis when his court show was on TV and Divorce Court. I like them because its usually used as background noise when things just feel Too Quiet but I don't actually have to pay attention to if I don't want to. Some of the newer court shows just don't give me the same kind of enjoyment as the older shows do.

Re: Court Dramas
I don't particularly enjoy real-life court dramas, I find them a little depressing and exploitative. I do enjoy fictional court dramas, though I know that it's rarely just like in our courts.
I enjoy movies more (like 12 Angry Men and A Few Good Men), but I just adore Boston Legal. Yes, it's not like US courts at all, but it's funny, imaginative, it always surprises you, and in my opinion, it has some of the best speeches in TV history. I also enjoy Silk and the court aspects of the Law and Order franchise.
