Book Review - Greenglass House

Post by Iverian Gnash »

Author: Kate Milford
Genre: Mystery, Fiction
Summary:
The story takes place at an old inn that has been passed to families throughout generations. The main character, Milo, lives there with his parents who own the inn and mostly smugglers come through to stay. One Christmas, a few guests show up which is odd because people don't show up during the winter season much. Milo realizes something is up once things go missing and the guests act oddly and he goes, with the help of a girl who shows up, to uncover what's really going on.

Thoughts:
This book was amazing! It was a great mystery, though the plot twist got spoiled for me a few chapters in. Milford created this entire world that had many twists and turns that you weren't always expecting. Things kept going missing and the blame was always being shifted and right as you thought you'd figured out who it was, they get ruled out. There was also a whole history to the story that gets revealed in the end and gets hinted at throughout the book. A rather fast paced book full of puzzles to be solved and clues left around. Definitely a great mystery book I'd recommend!
