How I chose the name Adelaide Carson...I made a list of first names that I like and last names that went well with them. Then, I e-mailed the list to my friends who knew about HOL and my sister, who all voted for their favorite. And Adelaide Carson won (obviously). /happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />

Signature made by me. PM me if you want one! (I can't do animation yet, though. Sorry!)

My name came from a character in one of the many books that i have written. I have always like the name Devander and a Devander st. or an town called Devander or a character named Devander will always end up in my story. Darius is the last name of the Main charcter of the story that i am writing. i like it (though i would change my last name in a second)

My name comes from one of the Characters in one of the sotries I'm writing. I have always like the name Danielle, as for the last name I made a bit of research and found it in a book of old Brittish names. I dont know if it is, but I liked it. Sounded like the last name of a villian. So there you have it! :-D

Okay well, Amanda is my real first name, and I love being amanda! NO manda or mandy though! My last name Dubois is a common French surname, kind of like "Smith" in america. I am mostly French, and I love that culture so I just picked it because I thought it was pretty. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

"Where is Wood?" said Harry, suddenly realizing he wasn't there.
"Still in the showers," said Fred. "We think he's trying to drown himself."

My real name is Kristina and when I was little I always thought it was pretty unique until recently when I noticed more and more people had my name. So I thought it would be extra unique if I spelled it with a "y" and shortened it. Plus I always though Krysta from Ferngully was really cool and wished I had her name. hehe. And I chose Keeper because that was my favorite quidditch position. Plus I would have the same initials as my real name.

i used my real first name [Mishell] 'cause i like it really much and Lefebvre comes from Seb Lefebvre a member of a canadian Band called Simple Plan. He's really nice and i've always loved that surname. so that's it /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Well, when I first started role playing (almost five years ago now) my brother had been using them for some time and had developed the character called 'Sy Desleme' (Dez-le-may) not wanting to be different I developed the character 'Leonardo Desleme' (Leonardo after da Vinci and Desleme after my brother's character) or Leon for short. About two years ago, the first RPG I used died from neglect by it's owners. I was sad of course, but a few of the remaining characters got back together. By that time I had distanced my self from the Desleme name and had started using the surname 'Treble' in relation to music (I play the French Horn). Over time, Treble changed to Tribal but was pronounced virtually the same way. The name Adrian is a recent change because I wanted a new one and happened to like Adrian best.

Elizabeth Hackett
Well how I chose mine was I went on to this website and just found cool names. The name Hackett just stood out to me. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />Sherry Black wrote:We have a topic for this in the Gryff common room, and it's always a lot of fun and very interesting. Especially with all the ickle firsties arriving with such intriguing names! I love hearing all the stories on how people chose the name for their HOL persona. One of my personal favorites is Airemay Speare.... but she'll have to tell that story. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
How did I come to be Sherry Black? Well, unfortunately my story is not nearly as interesting as Airemay's. My real life name is Sherry (I can't imagine people calling me something else- I'd be too confused!), and Sirius Black is one of my favorite characters in the HP series. I felt under pressure to choose a name when signing up for HOL, wasn't properly prepared to create a name, so that was the first thing that popped in my mind. And after a year of finding my niche here at HOL, I'm not about to change my name now! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
So, where did YOUR HOL name come from??

I chose mine because I've liked the name Thalia for quite a while. I was struggling to think up a surname, and it just so happened that I had the World Championship Athletics on at the time, and there's a female 100m (USA) runner called Muna Lee. So I used it as my surname rather than as a first name!
