How have I avoided posting here?

My favorite genre is probably country. Specifically 80-2000s country music (not too twangy and before the ultra-pop movement that took over for awhile T-Swift) The main exception to that time period is Home Free who always release great music.

Seriously, if you have never checked out Home Free before, think of groups like Alabama or Oak Ridge Boys and you have the sound that they are going for, just make sure to remove the instruments first as Home Free is a capella.

Almost anything from the 1970s and prior, especially 1950s and prior. I really don't like modern music for some reason. There is some "natural" sounding about older music. My favourite is actually French music, especially Edith Piaf.

I'm a metalhead, my favourite subgenres being thrash, death and progressive. Some of my favourite bands include Gojira, Opeth, Death, Morbid Angel, Dismember, Obscura, Dark Tranquillity, Exodus, Death Angel. I grew up on rock (bands like Bon Jovi, Queen, Def Leppard) and I still love it I also love classical music, mainly because I play the piano. I find it hard to choose just one type of music as I like listening to a lot of stuff! I think I prefer Alternative rock and Pyschedelic Pop/Rock out of everything but I am very open to the stuff I listen too ~

I agree it's difficult to choose just one type. There's just so much out there, plus I'm bad at picking favorites. These days, I listen to a good amount of K-pop, but I also keep a healthy dose of Alt Rock on my playlists and more ambient stuff for teaching. My boyfriend listens to a lot of prog rock and 70s Euro-pop with me in the car, so I have a good appreciation for those as well. I think I'm well inclined to like anything with a nice beat switch-up I'm not expecting
