I love Harry Potter, but I also like Terry Pratchet books. They are really funny but are also very good stories. I also like the His Dark Materials trilogy, even though it stirred up some controversy, but I like the story, it's very well written and once you've started reading the first book, I promise you'll want to finish all of them.

Well, first place would have to be: Harry Potter and all of J.R.R Tolkien's books.
After that, probably the Dark is Rising and then Twilight, Eclipse and New Moon.
Terry Pratchett is also pretty funny /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

My favorite series:
1. Harry Potter, hands down amazing.
2. His Dark Materials, although I haven't read them in a while.
3. Twilight Series, not as amazing as the other two, but very good books indeed although mostly geared to the Young Adults/Teens (especially girls)

My favourite series in no particular order are Harry Potter (of course), Lord of the Rings, Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy( I used to live in Rickmansworth!), His Dark Materials, The Wind on Fire series, the Alex Rider series and the Inheritance series - can't wait for the next one, the Bartimaeus Trilogy - I read lots so this list is not all, I just can't remember any more at the moment. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Well, Harry Potter, obviously.
I also like Artemis Fowl, The Myth-adventures of Skeeve and Aahz, The Disc World series, Narnia, the "heroes" series (a fun little fantasy series consisting of 3 books so far), Brother Cadfael, and several more mystery series that no one's ever heard of.

Harry Potter!!I've been reading them over and over and over since I was 7 and up to now I haven't found any other series that can compare!
Lord of the Rings has its merits though. It's an amazing series, I've got the trilogy and appendixes rolled up in ONE NOVEL (imagine how thick that is!) and I'm pretty impressed by the detail. It could be a biography and I wouldn't know!
But still, nothing beats Harry.

That's a difficult question. One of my most favourite book series is, of course, "Harry Potter." It's even my most favourite one, I think.
But there are some other series I really like. Terry Pratchett's "Discworld" novels, for instance. I really enjoy reading them - admittedly not all of them, but most of them, especially those, in which the wizards of the Unseen University occur
I also wouldn't like living without Lewis's "Chronicles of Narnia" and Cornelia Funkes "Inkheart."

My favorite series as of right now are the Twilight Series, Harry Potter of course, The Xanth Series, The Mortal Interments, The House of Night, The Edge Chronicles, The Sweep Series, and the Witch Seasons Series. These are just a few of my favorites. I really like fantasy books and most of these series are fantasy books. In fact I'm pretty sure all of these books are fantasy books.

Harry Potter, and I love the nightworld books. Alex Rider is good too. and I'm newly hooked on Fruits Basket.
