There are a lot of great fairy tale collections in the world. And making the Story Book event has made me realise that even more than I already did. I found out some fairy tales were collected by people I'd never heard of before and I even found out that a few weren't even traditional fairy tales, but were written by a specific author who hadn't collected it, but simply made it up.
That made me wonder: What fairy tale collections do people actually know? And which are your favourites? And what do you think of these other non-traditional fairy tales? Do you have a favourite tale there or favourite author perhaps?
