I recently came upon reading the 1970 book, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee I began reading it after seeing the HBO Film that shows a section of the book about the Sioux Indians and Wounded Knee.

This books revolves around the Native American History and their decline and destruction in their words with written documents and such. Starts from the Eastern Indians (Cherokee, Shawnee, Mohicans, and etc.) to the Western/Plain Indians (Nahvo, Sioux, Chyenne, Aphavos, and others).

It gives accounts of the massacre of Sand Creek and Wounded Knee. Though I am not done with the book, I thought it would best to see if someone has read such a book. Though it was written in the 1970s (during the time that Native Americans were up in arms again about their treaties) it still is inspiring book that I find interesting...

It might be because I ma a history buff. Who knows....
