Do You Play An Instrument?

I play the wonderful clarinet, whom I named Gracie Lou. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> She is all shiny and looks pretty new, and should, because I polish her three times a day. Well, unless I have better things to do (never). /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> I have been playing for five years with the same...exact...conductor. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Pretty sad really.

And she never lets us play Harry Potter music, says it's over-rated. Can you believe that? /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> Honestly, she'd rather us play some song where all we do is play slurs and quarter notes than play something fast and interesting like Harry Potter. Though, I really can't complain, because the clarinets usually have the melody in all the songs she picks. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Recently I began to learn to play te violin. I have been in classes for about 4 months but I have advanced a lot. I would also like to learn the flute and perhaprs cello or piano. I would also like to sing in a classic choir, one of those that is divided according to the timbre of voice. I think I'm a baritone.

Would you believe, I totally understand what you're saying here. My oboe Elissa is pretty much just like that. Classical music, she's all for. Oboe solos, you name it, she's great. The moment I dare to play something that's not a classical or contemporary oboe piece, like stuff from musicals and such, she hates it and refuses to play and sounds awful and squeaks. Ugh. Oboes. What can you do with them.

i play piano and guitar... i was in piano for over 10 years and i used to teach it as well. i started to teach myself how to play guitar a couple of years ago.

I take singing lessons, which I started 4 and a half years ago and just last year I also started piano lessons. It's great fun. I sing all sorts of songs, classical, musical, jazz, and loads of other stuff. I'm not quite there yet with piano /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I play on Saxafones.( I can play on any of them I palytd on them for about 9 years or so)
Right now I play on tenor Sax for school band and Alto for Chamber. And some times I play barri for my band)
Flute ( i played for about 6,1/2 years)
I played for school band but now I play for my band.
Accustic Guitar ( I played for 11 years)Now I play it but rearly
Peano/keyboard ( I played for 11 years) Now I basicly dont play a lot on it.
I play precation.( for 9 years.) I play when ever and whre ever.
I sing in choire( For about 12 years)
I did a lot of things conected to music and music sis I was 3 years old.
I want to ,musical academy.

I play bass guitar... had the thing for about three years, but I only just started getting lessons. No band yet, but I'm hoping.

I played cello for four years in the school orchestra, but I moved to a district that didn't have that. So now I have an unused cello in the corner of my bedroom. It's sad.

I've been playing the piano for.. let me count.. six years I think. I started taking lessons because my parents wanted me to, but when I grew older I enjoyed more and more. Last year I took guitar lessons but stopped soon because it's much harder.
I'm glad to be able to play an instrument, I gained a lot from it.

I took up General music in College and we need to know and be able to play at least 10 instruments before graduation. in general music you study the basic of all the family of instruments... you need to know at least 10 basic instruments and be able to play them before you graduate. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Whoa ten instruments? That's awesome! I can't wait for college, I'm going for music education and I know you need to know lots of instruments for that. Since it's my goal to be able to play them all, everyone kept telling me that I should go into music education, haha.

I play violin and viola in two orchestra's and am planning on going to a musical highschool next year (if I get in). I also play drums in a rock band and guitar in another.

I played for like 5 years. But now I can't remember a thing.
