Welcome to the Module 03 "Manifestations" thread! Write some kind of a Short Story or Poem that revolves around this month's Power ("Scroll-and-a-Half" / 150 words). Let those creative juices flow! In addition to submitting via e-mail, you are encouraged to post these publicly here. While this will not effect your points, it will encourage interactions by providing additional options for people to to connect on, particularly for those who take part in the "Mingling" portion of this month's exercises if they enjoy or relate to your work and choose to talk about something you've shared.

"But, I really want to buy that new dress! Come on, Willow, look how gorgeous it is! Look at that color!"
Willow and Iris had been best friends since kindergarten. Iris and her husband, Gregor, had been wanting to save money for a down payment on a house, but it was slow going, because Iris had a tendency to purchase all sorts of things she really didn't need. Iris and Willow had gone shopping for a costume for Willow's daughter's school play, and Iris had spotted a dress she just "had to have."
"You know, Iris, I can't stop you from buying that dress, but you do realize that, if you say YES to that dress right now, and you keep saying YES to buying all sorts of trivial things that you don't need, you're saying NO to buying a house with Gregor? The two of you are living in a studio apartment so you can save money on a down payment. Do you think it's fair to him to not have any money saved back this month, while he has to contribute everything? Do you want it to take twice as long to get that house, or maybe even go with a smaller house than what you planned? Just say NO to the dress, and keep saying NO. That's all you have to do."
Willow sighed. She knew Iris was correct. She'd have to curb her impulse spending if she ever wanted to buy a house.
