Halloween wonder fills the air as we float along through the days, plotting what to wear as the day grows near. Eventually, as always, black cloak, black cap and, of course, black boots complete the ensemble. Then, where to go ... to the neighbors house and surprise them with our magnificence? Or simply fly our brooms to the forest and party there? Why not both?

All Hallows’ Eve can be traced back to Samhain, an ancient Celtic festival that was celebrated to mark the end of the harvest. We plan to take a hayride to see a haunted house, carve a jack-o’-lantern, and bob for apples. Next we will disguise ourselves as witches, zombies and superheroes and march in the local parade. Lastly, we will join our masked and costumed neighbors knocking on doors and collecting candy, money and treats. (75 words)
