HOL

It’s almost time to leave the fair for this year. On your way out though, you see a group of people clustered around something. It turns out to be a huge canvas, propped up against the castle wall. As you approach, someone passes you a quill and invites you to add a message.

For 5 points, please write a short message about what HOL means to you or your favourite part of the school (2 or 3 sentences should do it). If you’re stuck or haven’t quite decided yet, then you can pick 5 words that make you think of HOL. Post them below by 11:59 PM HOL-time on 30th September.

HOL is a new adventure for me, an opportunity to grow and learn in a community of people like me. I've never been on this type of a platform before, but I already know I'm going to love it here.

HOL is a magical place and always will be. It is a home away from home. Wonderful friends to be with and make. Along with fun and exciting classes, activities and Quidditch. HOL will always be there to welcome you home.

What I love most about HOL is that there is a place for everyone. Studious people can take a lot of classes, a huge Quidditch pitch for those more comfortable on the broom, library and art departments for creative people with IRC and common rooms for social butterflies. No one feels out of place in our little community.

HOL was at first my escape from the real world, but now it's a part of it! Most people know I go to a Harry Potter school where I've made many new friends! I have learned so much, and love being able to share this incredible life with so many people across the globe!

Although I’ve only recently joined HOL, I have already made some good friends and definitely look forward to making more. I’ve enjoyed interacting in several groups, such as HOLLERS and the Book Club. I am taking a wide variety of classes, and am enjoying the homework more than I thought I would. I’ve even botted a time or two!

HOL is first and foremost a wonderful community, where people from different cultures and different backgrounds can come together and learn from one another and build friendships with people they would never have met otherwise. Here it does not matter where you come from, how old you are or what you look like: We all share this experience and I think that is beautiful.
