Goldilocks and the Three Bears - Creative Task

Post by Alexander Brighton » Mon Apr 15, 2019 1:03 am

Creative Task: Write a story of what the bears were doing while Goldilock was trying out their beds etc.

There are a three variations of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, but again the differences are not major ones. The variations involved Goldilock originally being an older woman and the other variation is that the bears were a group of bachelors. Other than that, all the variations agree there were three bears that went out for a walk waiting for breakfast to cool down and come home to find a strange girl in their house sleeping in one of their beds.

We know Goldilock’s story but we don’t know about the bears’. What happened to the bears when they went out for their morning stroll? Did they run into trouble? Did they go to a special spot for the family? We want you to tell us what the bears did or saw during their walk into the woods. Please post your response below by 11:59 pm on April 30.

The bears' walk started off normally. They were just going for a quick stroll to find some berries for the next day since they were preparing for a party. They left their porridge on the table because they were in such a hurry to collect some berries so Mama Bear could start cooking. They hadn't planned to stay out as long as they did, but baby bear ran into some of his friends and they ended up staying out way longer than they had planned. On the way back, a tree came crashing down right in front of their path. Baby Bear easily climbed over it, but his mama and papa had to pick their way around it, which was not an easy feat since the path had a river on both sides. The bears had to help each other through the river and to the other side of the tree. When they eventually did get back, they were exhausted and just wanted to finish breakfast. However, they found Goldilocks in their home.

Oh, the bears went picnicking!

They went to where the bearberries were ripening and had a lovely time foraging amongst the low lying shrubs for the red berries. After getting all that were ripe, and noting when it would seem that more would ripen, they went to see what else was available for a snack! They found a patch of blueberries which still had some fruit on the bushes, and then lucked into a bunch of raspberry bushes.

Replete, they returned to their home ....
