HOL

The Gold Spirit Award was begun several years ago as part of something known as HOL Appreciation Month. It’s designed to help motivate you to fulfil your personal goals for the school year, however big or small, whatever they might be. Anyone is welcome, be they student, post graduate or professor. Read the criteria below and then have a think about what you’d like to achieve for yourself this year. Once you’re done, post your goals as a reply to this thread and get to work on them. You may earn a shiny award at year’s end!

Criteria:
You must make at least 3 goals, though we’d like 4 or 5.
They must be goals we can check and verify in some way. If you want to collect a certain amount of beans or the like, you’ll need to send me a screenshot of you having the right amount.
One goal must be how many house points you’d like to earn (either overall or in particular classes)
One goal must be related to classes (number of quills you want to earn, number of OWLs you want to complete, number of classes you want to teach/assist)
You must achieve (or get very close) to at least 3 of your goals to qualify for an award

My goals for this year are as follows:
Get at least 8 quills
Get 1000 house points overall
Finish all the classes I take
Try to be more involved in the non-cirricular part of this site

My goals might be a tad too ambitious, but I wouldn’t be a Slytherin if I didn’t aim for the stars! My goals in this school year are as follows:

1. Enrol in - and get a quill for - 10 classes.
2. Get a total of 300 points in every class I take (600 if full year).
3. Pass the tryouts for Slytherin’s Quidditch Team, play in at least one game as a Seeker and capture the Snitch.
4. Apply to teach a class as soon as I get better acquainted with the website’s format / culture / system, likely before the Spring term.

1. Pass all classes.
2. Earn at least 3000 house points.
3. Earn 300 house points in at least 4 classes.
4. Get 10 quills.
5. Submit at least 5 works to Ink Splatters.

1. Earn at least 3000 house points in all.
2. Earn at least 9 quills.
3. Submit to the HOL Newspaper at least 3 times through the school year.
4. Take part in at least 6 HOL and/or House Acitivities through the school year.
5. Submit 1 submission to the Art Department every month.

1. Earn at least 2000 points.
2. Earn 10 quills
3. Earn 300 points in at least 4 classes.
4. Submit to at least six art or library projects
5. Participate in at least one activity from each house.

1. Earn 3000 points
2. Earn quills for all classes that I take
3. Earn 300 points in at least 1 class
4. Submit something to one of the newspapers
5. Complete 7 prompts in Book Club

1) Teach at least one NEW (or newly revived) class
2) Earn at least 290n points (where n is the number of classes I end up taking)
3) Bring at least one new Prefect into Slytherin
4) Induct a new member onto SQT
5) Win at least 10 awards during the academic year (not counting July or August)

1. Earn 3000 house points
2. Earn a quill in 6 classes
3. Win one game of quidditch as a member of RQT
4. Earn 10 awards
5. Earn 290+ points in 3 classes

My goals are to:

1. Earn 3000 house points
2. Earn 300 points in at least 4 classes.
3. Earn a Quill for each class I take
4. Earn at least 15 awards for the year
5. Participate in each HOL activity

My goals for my last year as a student are:

1. Earn a quill in each class I take
2. Help run at least two HOL forum activities
3. Win at least two Seeking matches for RQT
4. Participate in at least one activity in each house
5. Submit to the HOWLer at least once.

Goal number 1.
I want to be able to get as much beans as possible, I want to prove that I can be a good student to the proffessors.

Goal number 2.
My 2nd goal is to become a junior prefect and then a class prefect and then hopefully a student teacher.

Goal number 3.
My 3rd goal is different. I want to get loads of owls. But will monst likey struggle due to Dyslexia. So my goal is to over come some of my main struggles.

Goal number 4.
Goal number 4 is I don't want to force my self to be the greatest, I want to be happy with my achievements but not to the point I'm at the top of the class

Goal number 5.
I just want to have a decent amount of house points earned at the end of the year. Because that would show me that I can do this!

1. I want to earn at least 4 quills
2. I want to earn at least 500 points
3. I want to earn at least 200 scales
4. I want to teach 6 classes in this year (all together)
5. I want to have at least 50 students all together

1. Let's start by wanting to earn at least 1 thousand points
2. I want to earn at least 1000 diamonds
3. I want to pass at least half of my classes
4. I want to have at least 10 students, who pass any of my classes.
5. I want to submit to Howler for every issue this year

This year I would like to:

1. Host at least one HOL-wide activity
2. Earn 300 points in at least four classes
3. Finish OWLs
4. Submit to the Library Department 5 times
5. Graduate!

My goals for this year would be :

1. Pass and get at least 5-7 quills in my classes.
2. Participate in other house competitions.
3. Submit at least once to the newspaper.
4. Take part in at most 2 art and/or library department works.
5. Overall achieve over 900 points.

My goals are as follows:
1) Earn 5 quills
2) Earn 1500 house points
3) Submit at least 5 art/library projects
4) Win 5 awards

At the start of the school year, many of you set goals for yourself, and it is truly inspiring to see those goals being met.
