My name's pronounced

Sirena - NOT Serena! 'Ren' as in 'Pen' the first and last syllables ('si' and 'na') are pronounced as they are in the name Serena.

My last name - Serephina is pronounced 'Se - ra - phina'

Well my name's pretty straight forward:

Karina Adams

Kar - say like lower case 'c', as if you were starting to say 'car' then stop after the c

Ina - say like e-na (or ee-ner)

Adams - self explanatory /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Hrm, I thought I'd replied here, but evidently not...

I know my name has been most enjoyably mispronounced by most of HOL for over two years now, but here is how it's done:

Ceit: As you'd pronounce the name 'Kate' - Kay-t (NOT 'Seat' /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />)

Uiseag: oo-shic (NOT Whee-sig!)

Both first and last names are Scottish Gaelic, that being the language of my homeland, and while 'Ceit' just means 'Kate', 'Uiseag' means 'skylark', which I rather like /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Wihl-as in "if there's a will..."
lohw- "the opposite of high"
fohx- "the furry creature"

That seems more like a puzzle than anything!

Mine's not too hard....

ko - rhymes with doe
ha - rhymes with la, or rah
ru - the 'r' is a japanese 'r', so it's sort of inbetween an 'r' and an 'l' (it rolls off the tounge), and the 'u' is like in 'ooooh' (when said, it almost sounds like 'do')

kun - rhymes with done

So, Ko-ha-roo Kun

Errrrmmmm, nobody really knows me here yet, but I guess I'll do this anyways.

De : Like "day".
Ja : Like awe, but not like jaw, the j is almost a shhhh sound...But not...

In : Like in as in...in, fin, and gin.
fin : Uh...fin...like the thingies on fishies.
i : Like the i in it, ick, or imp.
tum : As in tummy, andt the things you eat when your tummy hurts that are called Tums.

Day-shaw...but not quite "sh". In-fin-i-tum...
Yeah. Think I got that right...I guess you could say Deja like Day-shuh...like in "Uhhhhh, cool."

... /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />

Yeah, I think I just managed to make my name ten times more difficult than it actually is. -blink-
