The Topic For Introductions!

Hey everyone,

I'm Nocturna Grenemearh, and I'm finally a student here, a first year Ravenclaw to be specific. I've been anxiously awaiting the re-opening of new student registrations here ever since I stumbled upon the site many months ago.

I'll skip over the obvious intro stuff, like my monologue on my undying love for all things HP, and move on to some not-so-obvious things in a short list format so that I don't lose your attention.

- I'm 22 years old
- I'm the proud mom to 21 fur-children: 1 cat, 2 chinchillas, 2 degus, and 16 gerbils
- I'm a horse fanatic and very active in the horse sim community
- I'm also a Tolkien fan, my reading schedule is actually perfectly aligned so that I'll finish the Book of Lost Tales Part I just before I get my copy of Deathly Hallows.
- In terms of television, my favorites are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Bones, Law & Order (the original), Charmed, Tru Calling, Futurama, Family Guy, Simpsons (old stuff, mostly), Scrubs, Robot Chicken, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
- My movie favorites make up a much longer list. Suffice to say I'm a huge fan of fantasy, musicals, comedy, action, drama, etc. Pretty much anything but horror movies (I'm a huge chicken) and incredibly girly chic-flicks.
- My taste in music is just as varied as my taste in movies. Brand New tops the list currently, but you'll find everything from Sinatra to Fiddler on the Roof to Toby Keith to Ludacris on my playlist.
- I'm stubborn, opinionated, blunt, intelligent (if I do say so myself) but almost completely lacking in common sense.
- I'm a recluse, mostly because I'm socially awkward, but also because I can't stand idiots.
- I'm an interesting blend of science and arts. I've got a bachelors in Biology with a minor in art. I've been creating with pencil for longer than I can remember and I get lost in Photoshop for hours. Most of my 'formal' art instruction has been in watercolor, however.

I think that's a sufficient intro for now. Obviously, I'm looking forward to my run here and if you're super awesome I'd love to meet you.

Good evening, all. (: I'm new here, and just as the person above me, I have been waiting anxiously for the re-opening of the sign-ups for some time now.

I'm a 14 year old (15 soon) girl from Israel, and my name's not really Tara (and I certainly think most of your names aren't real either). It's Alice, and a couple of people might have seen me in the IRC, where I asked when will the sign ups be up. Luckily, they were up by the time I woke up in the morning, so I hurried to sign up as soon as possible.

First year Ravenclaw, by the way. Always loved the Ravenclaw bunch.

I love music with every bit of my soul. The best thing is that I love almost any kind of music - whether it is hard rock or country, I usually adore it and listen to it for hours.

I'm also a graphics designer. Not a very good one, but some people say I'm pretty good. I'll trust their taste, then. (:

weeell. Good day then, I hope to meet many new people here. One of the reasons I joined, really. :]

Hello everyone! Yet another newbie here... I'm Portia, and it's good to see I wasn't the only one eagerly waiting for admissions to open!
I've been sorted into Slytherin(it was a close contest, I was almost an eagle!), and I'm looking forward to earning points for our House. I'm also practicing my Quidditch skills in hopes of making one of the SQL teams.
Not quite sure what classes I'll be taking this term, but Charms and Potions both sound appealing. You won't see me in Care of Magical Creatures, though... animals and messes aren't my thing. Herbology seems to be necessary, so I'll probably take it under protest. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> In general, I'd rather stay indoors and read/sleep/clean than wander the grounds. Feel free to send me an owl or stop to chat, I'm having fun making new friends!

'I'm Falay Marker, a Ravenclaw First Year here on HOl, feel free to just call me Falay or Fly. I can't wait for classes to start, but since that's a good month of two away, I'll have to wait. Oh well, gives me more to time to pester people with questions on the forums. I'm natural curios about everything, so I like to read a lot, for fun I read both fantasy and fiction stuff as well as biology books and stuff on how to write. I'm a big fan of Anne McCafferey and her son as well, Tamora Pierce, and, of course, J.K. Rowling. I love Tolkien, for his classic spot in fantasy and for how he uses things from are world incorporated in his.
I love animals, of all types, from fuzzy wombats to giant whales to slithering snakes and everything in between. When I grow up, I either want to work with animals, as a biologist or vet, or be a writer. In fact, I'm also down with chapter do of my novel, eOwl me if you want to read it, my RL friends and family say its good so far. I own a dog, a Jack Russel Terrier named Jack; my family adopted him after he was abandoned for being to big for breed standards. I ride horses, a bit of western, but I mostly ride English, I started with some dressage but now I'm working on learning to jump.'

That's right out of my profile, since I'm to lazy to write up something new to tell me the same things it says there. I've been desperately waiting for HOL to open registration for at least two months now. I used to be a student years ago but I didn't have time to really participate. Hopefully I'll be able to devote more time to it now.

I'm a 22 year old who has no idea what she wants to do with her life. I'm currently a full time student trying to get my BA in English Literature. I love to read, watch movies, listen to musics, and surf the net. I've been in love with the Harry Potter series since I discovered them. I have very eclectic tastes in everything. I read different genres of books (fantasy, science fiction, romance, historical, etc). XD Oh if you were wondering, chibi is japanese for 'small/short' and well i'm pretty short so yeah, some people call me that!! ^__^ I love anime/manga, ancient egypt, reading, drawing, music, animals, and a bunch of other stuff! XD

Hello, everyone. I'm Bianca Ackerley and I'm a Gryffindor First Year. I'm new to HOL and very excited to be here!

As for stuff about me ... I'm a fifteen-year-old high school student. I love sports, especially soccer and alpine ski racing. I love to read and will read almost anything: from cereal boxes to textbooks to Harry Potter and other amazing novels. I also love the theater, although I haven't acted in years. Hello everyone, my character name is Michiyo. My real name is Marie, although either name is fine with me. I'm a 1st year Ravenclaw... I've only been at HOL for about three days, so I'm not acquainted with many people yet. I'm really looking forward to my classes so that I can become an active member. I also joined the PPC to be more involved at HOL. ^^

Some real life stuff.. I'm 15 years old, and I'm going to be a sophomore this coming school year. I love to read, play volleyball, and sing! I also like listening to music - I especially like Korean and Japanese pop.
