My name has quite a long story actually^^ Both parts are in Quenya, the High Elven language from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. I usually go by Draugwen in most places; it is Tolkien Elvish too, but Sindarin, the Grey Elven language. It means 'wolf girl', and I've had that name for quite a long time already, loving wolves as I do. (There's a *very* long story behind that... waaay too long for this forum^^')
Ravariel means exactly the same as Draugwen, with the only difference being that it is the other elven language. I translated it because I wanted a second name in the same language and just couldn't find a nice one in Sindarin /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
Aiwince is a nickname I gave one of my RP characters because of his enchanting voice; it means 'little bird'. I'm quite fond of that particular character, so I thought it nice to carry around his name in mine /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
A little complicated, isn't it?^^'

Wow I read a few of those explinations and it's just so amazing how anyone picks their names. Really cool /happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />
I got Amunet from well ... *story ensues* I write and I love using new unique names and so I went on a baby name site and found Amunet which means: Goddess of Mystery. I have then always used this name for pretty much everything online.
I got Grint from well ... the actor Rupert Grint who plays Ron Weasley. I just love Rupert as an actor and ya know ... he is so attractive to me I wish I had his last name /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Claire D. Smith
Hmm. How did I choose my name? Normally for these kinds of things I just randomly pluck names out of the air but for HOL, this time, it actually means something. I named myself after my future children. My partner and I have discussed what we would like to call our kids when we have them and we settled on Claire for a girl and Dylan for a boy. So I took Claire as the first name, Dylan as a middle name (as it can be a female name as well) and Smith is the last name I will take on when we get married.
A little cheesy, but I really like it and I love that it means something significant to me. /happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />

I adapted my name from a series of books I absolutely fell in love with. The full name of the title character is Comtesse Phedre no Delauney de Montreve. The series of books is called Kushiel's Legacy. The books are filled with wonderfully unique names, but she was my favorite character, so I went with her. The end. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Jenna is simply one of my favorite names, especially since I love the movie 13 Going on 30 in which the main character's name is Jenna. Hathaway is a last name I've used in one of my stories before and I end up really liking it. It was a story adapted from Charmed, my favorite show, and the girls' last name in the show is Halliwell, so I tried to find something similar and end up with Hathaway. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Greetings, I am first year student Malacai Micheals. I would like to say that there is some big ordeal surrounding the creation of my HOL name, but the sad truth of it is that there just isn't. The name came about one night when a friend introduced me to the game black nova traders. For those of you not familiar with it they require you to create a name to play and Malacai was the first name that came to mind. I think ihad just finished watching the first children of the corn movie or something. and micheals well i just made that up. Sort of sounded good.

My name has base in several ideas. My first name is a bit of a derivative of a character from Kingdom Hearts II. In the game, members of Organization XIII all have an X in their names. I always thought this was really interesting. There was one character in particular whom I always liked the way his name rolled off your lips, Luxord. So I altered the name a bit and you all can see the end result. As for my last name, it's a bit of pseudo-lineage I have created. In the game Final Fantasy XI online, my character's name is Fallina Isolde Dicetla, in my overall story for the character she eventually has two children named Promise Denorak and Abettor Denorak, I am to be considered a descendant of Fallina's according to the Denorak lineage.

Gosh, there's really not much rhyme or reason as to why I chose this name ... I started a fic several years ago that I've long since abandoned, and one of my main characters was named Sandy (short for Cassandra, as opposed to just plain Sandra) Forks. I've always liked the name Sandy, and Forks, well .. I was honestly probably looking for a last name and naming random objects I saw around the room. And thus Sandy Forks was born!
I also picked AJ Michalka as my PB, 'cause I always imagined Sandy as a blonde. Plus, she's so pretty! So there you have it. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

My name is Stella Noge. It's not like, super special, but it does reflect me. I'm really interested in stars and constellations, and in Latin, Stella means star. Stella is also such a pretty name so I decided on that.
As for my last name, Noge, well, I kind of took a friend's last name and altered. It went from Nogulman to Noge. I don't know how I came up with it. LOL I just thought Stella Noge sounded like a good name. =P
