Hi /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Well, Viktorija is my real name and Vika is just shorter version of it.
Ferox in latin means unbridled, spirited, warlike, wilde and courageous. I just fell in love with it from first sight /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Well, my name doesn't have a very interesting story. So my real first name is Alexandra but, I'm a tomboy so I don't like Allie, Alexa, or Lexy. I don't mind Ali but no one really calls me that so I ended up with Alex.
Leabelle is actually kind of a made up name. I don't really KNOW if it exists. I love the name Leah and it kind of needed an ending and my little cousin was over and and she was waatching Beauty and The Beast. So I "stole" the name belle and dropped the 'h' on Leah to get Leabelle(Lee-UH-belle)

Okay well I've known the story of how my name was chosen for quite some time. You see, back when my mommy was pregnant with me, my daddy and her were trying to decide what to name me. My daddy wanted to name me Devon (after his brother who passed away) and my mommy wanted to name me Shay because she thought that was a really pretty name. So they argued so much about what to name me and then one day my mom's sister (Aunt Clara <3) suggested that they put the two names together to see if it could make a purrdy name. So first they tried ShayDevon and thought it was nasty && then they tried Devonshay and fell in love w/ it. I go by Devon though. I would'nt mind being named just Devon although I hate the name Shay! =)

Hey there. Call me Devon
I love my best friend Sydney; she's awesome.
I'm a first year student at Hogwarts.

It's interesting to finally realize I have no clue why I decided to call myself Stephen Cry. Stephen probably comes from my unlucky sentimental life of a couple of years ago. A lot of Stephens made my life difficult but I still like the name.
My choice of the surname though was somewhat influenced by the videogame Devil may Cry, which I've never played with /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
ps- Camellia, I don't think you're allowed to use your real name as HOL Name, are you?

Don't cry if something's finished. Smile because it happened.
It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities

Cassey Duareiiy is just a scramble from my real name. But actually it has 3 words. Cassey Aeon Duareiiy. So, scramble it, maybe you'll find my real name /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> --my real name has 3 words to, of course--
Spell it!! My name is --K-see*Jyuu-a-Re-- \(^o^)/ !!

Well, I really wanted an interesting name, so I found a Latin translation website, and found out that Amicus meant friend in Latin, but I thought that Amica sounded prettier, so I had my first name.
I found my second name from the same translation website, Somnium (according to teh website) means 'dreamer'. My mad friend made her name 'Miko Mediocris' because that means sparkly fairies! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Wow...never been asked before on a forum...I have always been intrigued by the Greek-Roman goddess Persephone's story. I follow the Cretan version, which I believe embodies what she is really all about. In short, Demeter, her mother and goddess of agriculture and of the Undeworld, didn't have time for the Underworld. Persephone, also know as Kore the Maiden, made the choice to go and look after the spirits of the dead after meeting them and seeing that many were lost. Demeter didn't want her to leave, but Persephone bravely made her way into the depths of the Underworld. Sad from her departure, Demeter mourned for many months, known as winter because the agriculture stopped for that time.
This story is another myth used to explain the changing of the seasons. According to the myth, Persephone leaves for the Underworld for half of the year and returns to Demeter's domain for half. I believe this story impacts me the most because the spirits symbolize the forgotten people in our human race, the poor, ill, discarded by society. I am presently studying to be a social worker and have seen the miracles that can happen when one reaches out to the vulnerable and empowers them.
I found the Kore-Persephone story in the book, Maiden, Mother, Crone by D.J. Conway. Pick it up if you are into the goddess or mythology.

Well, Sofia comes from sophia, which of course in Greek means wisdom
And Maat... do you really have to know....
Maat is Egyptian goddess, patron of truth, law and universal order - look on the internet for further details /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I made up this name long before even discovering HOL, for a RPG chronicle (that is still running). Both parts come from the comic book series "Raptors", where there's a pair of cops called Lenore and Spiaggi. I always thought Lenore was a lovely name, ever since reading Poe's "Raven" - how fitting that, in retrospect, I ended up in Ravenclaw! Spiaggi derives from the Italian spiaggia = beach, seashore. It fitted not only the character origin I wanted (an Anglo-Italian), but also the focus for her talent.

Lisa Meadows..... Actually it sounds a bit ordinary, but it has a really interesting story...
My actual name is Lisa, but me and my family went on a camping holiday when I was about 9 or 10. Our caravan was right next to another family with a girl the same age as me (also called Lisa). Now, I know it sounds... weird, but one of our last names is Field, and the other is Valley. I made this on Lisa's laptop. She made one too I think, but her little sis *stole* it.
Anyway, Lisa is my best friend's name (and mine). Field and Valley turned into Meadow. I dunno where the plural form came from. So Lisa Meadows came to /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Xavier Dalen...
well, it doesn't have that great of a story behind it but here it goes. Firstly, I picked Xavier because I wanted an original name but not one were you would not know the gender of the person. So I figured, hey how about Xavier (because that was the first name of an outfielder on my favorite baseball team).I do not remember where I got the name Dalen from, but I am a writer so I sort of invent names that I could possibly use later on... So I was looking through my 'name bank' if you will and came across Dalen, so I chose it and I think it fits. It fits, right?

Mmm.. actually, I use Grace SparkleStern as my HOL name because I love the name"Grace". It's a beautiful name, I thought. And I have an idea to connect it with SparkleStern. Sparkle and Stern. Sparkle, you know the meaning in English. And Stern, originated from German... means Star...
