My name is Emilor. Father (whereabouts unknown) is a Muggle, Mother's a witch. I'm older than the average student. I wanted to explore the magic of the muggle world, so I chose a muggle education and then joined the merchant marines. I've seen the Northern Lights off the coast of Greenland, and smelt burning sugar cane in the jungle along the Panama Canal. I spent one Christmas eve in England and then sailed to Ireland for Boxing Day. I've conversed with the totems on Easter Island, as well as a lady of "negotiable affection" in the Dominican Republic.
I was communing with Pilot whales off the coast of New England in 1999 when I received an owl saying my Mother was sick. Apparently she had met with a rogue dragon in the Rocky Mountains. Some hikers had found her and taken her to a (gasp!) muggle hospital. Well, not having had a formal wizarding education, I was not licensed to apparate. Muggle hospitals are not known for their roaring fires, so the Floo Network was out. I had to take an aero-plane! While at the aero-port, I wandered into a muggle bookstore and found the first two Harry Potter biographies. (Half price; I guess they weren't exactly flying of the shelves in Rhode Island yet.) I thought, after the abominations my Mother was going through at the hands of Colorado's muggle healers, it might make her feel better to read a story about home. And it did; she waits for the next book about her "Dear Harry" as eagerly as anyone, and she'll be 60 next month!
My inability to apparate when someone I loved was in trouble convinced me that I could no longer ignore my lack of a "proper" education. Now that I've put my muggle affairs in order (and had two children) I eagerly await my Hogwarts education, and hope to be a credit to my House, Gryffindor!
But, for all you young wizards out there, remember that the muggle world has it's own magical wonders. You just have to decide to go out and find them! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Hi, i'm Ashleigh colins, i have just got into Harry Potter, reading the second book, and ready to watch the fourth movie /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> all the movies so far are great!, but one thing i wanna ask and i'm confused about is: I'm not a member of a house yet, and you have to go through to the sorting hat to find out, but it says they are closed and they reopen for new first years on 1th December, so i can't get through to the sorting hat, to see which house i'm in...am i the only one who has just started here and but hasn't started the school and with no house yet? i'm confused. /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

Hola Everybody!
My name is Amanda Hensgen and I am happily a Gryffindor member! My mom is a witch and she works as a professor in another country. Oh by the way she's a potions teacher. Currently in HOL I'm taking DADA, Astronomy II, House Evles 101, and Movie Study: Harry Potter. Ohh yes and I am a first year.
On the muggle side of my life I'm 15 years old and a sophomore in high school. I live in Wisconsin, USA. I love to sing, read, dance, play volleyball & soccer. My name is Sapphire Kardell. I belong in Slytherin. Go Us! I am a 25 year old woman from MD USA. I work on my cars, hang out with my friends and raise a little heck on Friday Nights! I like to read and can never let the channel on my TV to stray to far from Cartoon Network. I like Harry Potter stories (duh!) even though Snape is my favorite. I also like watching Dragonball Z (Vegeta there) my comedy movies and listening to the radio at work. I watch the NFL. Go Steelers! Like Dominick and Katherina, I have been waiting for a loooong time to register here. This site looks way above and beyond in comparison to other HP communities I have been to! I can't wait to get more aquainted with everyone here and jump into all the activities! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

A little bit about me, um...

I am really a girl, even though I am using a male name, I just liked it so much and I thought it sounded cool. I am a bit of a Ralph (Rafe) Fiennes fan too, so my name is based on that /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Hmm, let's see, other things about me...

I am 21, live in California, and I love to read, heh, I wonder what my favorite series of books is? Hello hello! I'm Regina - and I'm ridiculously glad for registration to finally be open. As for introductory-type information - I'm a desperate Potter-addict, enthusiastic dork, media-junkie, and part-time normal human being (the rest of the time...I'm a creature who does nothing but sleep and study - also known as an exhausted college freshman).

I'm excited to get to know the other other newbies (and the not-so-new-bies) in my year!
