Ariek Caniam

Post by Ariek Caniam »

Mine's not so hard once you try it out! I find it actually rolls off of the tongue, er, kinda.

Ariek Caniam. Are - EE - Ehk Can - EE- Am

The only thing people might have trouble remembering about it, is that Ariek doesn't begin with Air like in Ariel. I know, it's tempting, what with Little Mermaid flashbacks and all upon seeing the name.

My name is pretty easy, well my last name is hard for those who don't know Japanese sounds, heres how it is:

James: (Jaym-s)

Chigusa: (Chee-goo-sah)

I have had a lot of people say Chigusa like:

Ch-ii-gus-ah

Chee-gsa (U's are silent sometimes in Japan like desu ka1. is pronouced dehs kah)

(1.) Desu Ka (dehs kah) The initial of ending a question in Japanese. The Japanese do not raise their voice at the end, and insted say desu ka. Ogenki desu ka? (How are you?)

ni (N: as is 'nail' I: as is 'pin')
det (D: as in 'dime' E and T: pronounced 'ay')

In other words, it is pronouned 'Vri-ni-day'

I kind of made up my first name one day in art class when I was in middle school. It is pronounced how it is spelled A - RI - KA. Goldberg is pretty easy to say ... Gold - Berg.

Well, I already posted the pronunciation in the "What in a name" post, but, I'm sure it would have done much better here.

Rireoosol Softrain does look rather ghastly as a name! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Haha so many o's huh?

Here's how to pronounce it: "Ree-ray-oo-sol"
Ri: "Ree" - as in "read"
re: "ray" - as in "ray" (obviously)
oo: "oo" - such as the oo in "Google"
sol: "sol" - as in sold (minus the d) or sol, the spanish word for sun.

Softrain is pretty easy: "Soft-rain" just like words.
