As we all know, Knockturn Alley was the darker side of shopping in the Harry Potter world. Unlike Diagon Alley, some of the shops found in Knockturn were geared toward the darker arts and not-so-friendly wares.
Would you have ever felt the urge to wander down Knockturn Alley? What shops do you think you might have wished to visit, or would you have merely gone for curiosity’s sake? Personally, I would have headed straight for Mr. Mulpepper’s Apothecary or Shyverwretch's Venoms and Poisons.

I would have definitely gone down Knockturn Alley out of pure curiosity. Shops I would have liked would probably be the Apothecary, Borgin and Burkes would have peeked my curiosity, and I would most likely have a look at some of the skulls being sold at Dystyl Phaelanges. I would likely go straight to Trackleshanks Locksmith, since I love intricate things like locks and clocks.

I would go also because of curiosity. I remember when I was ill, I had a fever dream and I landed in Knockturn Alley
I would visit Borgin and Burkes (I like antiques), the Cobb & Webb's, Dystyl Phaelanges (like fortune telling), McHavelock's Wizarding Headgear (maybe I would also buy a beautiful hat) and also the Apothecary.

Re: Knockturn Alley
I'd love to walk around Knockturn Alley, to be honest. I know that some areas get a bad reputation because they may be hubs for less-than-legal activities, but that doesn't mean there aren't hidden gems there!
This makes me think of Kabukicho in Tokyo, which has a negative reputation because of some illicit behaviour that goes on around there - and yet, this is one of my favourite places to go, because there's a lot of great places in the vicinity if you know what to look for. I reckon that a few bad apples tend to taint our perceptions of an entire group, and that this may be a type of prejudice.

Re: Knockturn Alley
I think that going to Knockturn Alley disguised as a dark wizard is just the thing an Auror would do. Sorry for the unpopular opinion, lol, but yeah, I would specifically visit Borgin and Burkes antiques shop because I love antiques as well as because I want to look at the interesting things like Hand of Glory, Vanishing Cabinet, The Cursed Necklace, etc. for educational purposes with no wrong intent. Visiting the potions shop to get ingredients sounds like another very interesting thing to do. And oh. Do they also sell weedicides?

Thank you so much to my secret elf for my siggy, Happy New Year 2025!

I certainly would if only because I love shopping! While it's being frequented mostly by Dark Wizards, I don't believe that this shopping district is wholly evil.
I'd probably get some hard-to-find things there, like non-tradeable ingredients that'd be necessary for Potions or other research. Not all progress started strictly legal, after all.
I join others who said that it gets a bad rap because of a few bad apples. There's plenty of treasure to be found there if one dares to look.
