April in Scotland - Weather, Fauna and Flora

You're at Hogwarts. The snow is starting to melt, here and there. It returns sometimes, and there are cold snaps, but the sense in the air is that Spring is actually going to happen.

What are the things you look for while you are outside on the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry?

Do you look for melting snow for snowballs, or boggy puddles to splash in?

What about the plant life? Are any flowers showing up now? Or continuing to show up and bloom from March through April?

Are there hummingbirds coming back? What birds do you see returning on their seasonal flight plans? (What birds stick around for the entire year?)
