I would choose something that I can openly like a lot and yet appears harmless to others. First of all, I want no one knowing that I have a Horcrux. And then, even if they do know, they should have a hard time distinguishing it from other ordinary objects instead of using something obvious and clearly related to me in a special way that needs high protection. I recently saw a meme about Nokia phones being good as Horcruxes, because these phones were supposedly indestructible (and I agree, I used to own one, I dropped mine from the 10th floor of a building, and it was intact with only the phone switched off and the battery thrown out because the battery cover came off, but the battery cover didn't break, mind you, I could fix it right back). Since someone has already had that idea, that option has to go. Let me see, metal and plastic melt, wood burns, diamonds? Rocks! Diamonds are the hardest form of carbon out there. So, I would make a diamond necklace or a pendant with lots of tiny diamonds in it, and not mark the one which is my Horcrux. Diamond necklaces are simply property, and one that naturally warrants protection, without raising any eyes. And of course, it would make a lot of sense to love and protect a diamond necklace, no questions asked there. Now, I know that it would be prone to be stolen by thieves but what are safes for? I only hope that the bank owner or handler who handles my vault won't start to feel unexplainable irritation after handling my jewelry. Anyway, that will keep him from fingering my jewelry too much,

Thank you so much to my secret elf for my siggy, Happy New Year 2025!
