The music has always been one of my absolute favourite parts of the Harry Potter films. John Williams’ score for the first 3 always manages to lift my spirits but even as the music gets darker as the series progresses, it still remains magical.
I think my favourite piece of music has to be Leaving Hogwarts (the final theme from Philosopher’s Stone and then worked into ‘Reunion of Friends’ for the finale of Chamber of Secrets with a longer introduction) because it’s just so stirring and really sums up the enduring magic of the series for me. I also love that they repurposed it for the 19 Years Later scene in Deathly Hallows Part II; while it doesn’t exactly fit with the rest of the score, it’s a perfect way to bring the series full circle.
Do you have a favourite piece of music (doesn’t matter if you don’t know what it’s officially called, just mentioning the scene is more than fine), composer or HP soundtrack?

I love this!
My favorite songs have to be The Christmas at Hogwarts (which automatically and perfectly makes me feel a magical christmas) and Double Trouble of course, so magical! all the instruments used in such perfect way to give you chills and an atmosphere of suspense, summing up the movie without knowing it at first.

I have three favorites: Hedwig's Theme, which takes me back to the very beginning and represents the magic of the series; Harry in Wnter from Goblet of Fire, which is so dreamy and beautiful, before Spring arrived and Voldemort returned; and Courtyard Apocalypse from Deathly Hallows 2, which is dramatic and is an effective background music for all the horrors surrounding them.

I love John Williams' work on movies and he did a fantastic job with Harry Potter. Hedwig's Theme will always bring out the nostalgia.
But my favorite soundtrack by far is the Courtyard Apocalypse from the last movie. It gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it.
