Mars – Mythology

Post by Prof. Maxim Trevelyan »

Mars is one of the most important deities in Roman mythology, second only to Jupiter. No one is really sure about the origins of his exact nature, but through ancient history, Mars developed into a god of war. He was also protector of Rome since in the myth, he was a father of Romulus and Remus.

To honor Mars as a god of war, write a wizarding battle poem that is at least 10 lines long in any format you wish. The poem does not necessarily have to be about a real battle in the wizarding world, it can also be about a competition or anything that signifies battle of two forces. Be mindful of HOL rules and that everything is of your own creation.

Post your poems below by March 31st 11:59 pm HOL time to get 10 Hoots and 50 beans.

During the battle there were fireworks
Luna was battling Harry
She lit him on fire
Then she put Harry out
Then she used the killing curse on him
He turned into the fireworks
Ginny was battling Neville
Ginny was too kind to do anything mean
Neville was too shy
Ginny hugged Neville
Neville hugged her back
They put their wands together
Fireworks went up in the sky
Ginny and Neville Friends Forever
Hermione and Bellatrix
Ron and Narcissa
Draco and Lucius
Hermione beat Lucius
Ron beat Bellatrix and Narcissa
Ron and Hermione battling Draco
Draco said “I'm on your side.”
Ron and Hermione didn't kill Draco
Hogwarts true students won
