However, points tend to change every day as more and more stuff gets submitted, so keep earning those points! Things are getting heated in the race!

Art Department finished with its May projects, but you can still vote for them by May 14th. For this month in the Art Department, they are encouraging first years with their favorite Hogwarts memories and putting their creative skills to the test as they instruct us to show off our summer plans on postcards! Come join as they wrap up the school year and get ready to plunge into summer!

This month, the Library Department invites people to write about something they have yet to reveal. You can also get an insight into the inner workings of the Ministry of Magic and hear about some fascinating prophecies by checking out (and voting on) April’s projects by May 14th.

Book Club has plenty of literary hijinks to delve into. There are new prompts for Flash Fiction and Beginnings and Endings every week. Book Bingo is still going strong - make sure you get to ticking those squares off as it will be the end of term before you know it. If you are in the mood to get creative, then there will be fresh prompts in Quill and Ink, Ink Splatters and Between the Pages. All of these have awards and beans up for grabs so now is the perfect time to investigate.

The latest session of Gathering and Games is scheduled for May 2nd between 6 PM and 8 PM HOL-time. Join fellow students and staff for some conversation and friendly competition.

Gryffindors is chilling out after their action packed April but there is still fun to enjoy.

You can also check out the roleplay section and the Room of Requirement for May’s theme. Jump in with your character for many new adventures!

Also, the Paw Print will be opening submissions for its next issue, so keep an eye out on that.

Fat Lady’s Portrait can also keep you entertained with discussions and general fun. If forum games are more your cup of tea, then join the lions in Peeves’ Place.

Hufflepuff opened their Creative Club to all HOL. Do a spot of traveling as they will observe Cats Big and Small in the Wonders of the World. Lots of puzzles, some discussion questions, it will be a lot of fun.

Their paper, the Wizarding Times, is also open for submissions until May 23rd with the theme “Summer at Hogwarts”.

Keep your eyes peeled on the Department of Huffle Games and Sports for fun May challenges. You can also always check the games and discussions in The Fireplace.

In Huffle kitchen, badgers will have a discussion pop up related to food and then a puzzle or a coloring page.

The ever lovely Prof. Sindor Aloyarc is making an activity called The Farthest-Away Mountain. All HOL is welcome to participate! As always, you can also join the Eagles at the Roost for good conversation in the Debate Club and celebration of everything pop cultural for Ravenclaws only in E=MC Hammer.

Slytherin will be hosting their annual Emerald Cup at the end of term. End of May will bring us the sign-ups, so keep your eyes peeled for announcements. Their Read Along is currently discussing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and anyone can join in at any time!

Our brothers and sister in green and silver also encourage all HOLers to join them in their clubs. Go to the Arcade for a change to win a joystick award and Puzzle Exchange to…exchange puzzles of all kinds!

We are ending our newsletter with HOLLERS news.May brings new challenges where you can try your hand at monthly puzzles. If you are a more artistic person, there are three tasks waiting for you in the Creative Outlet concerning our very own pale blue dot. You can also try your quill at writing under constraint.

If you want to get more than Hoots and beans, you can always check Inspirational Categories where we accept any art or writing submission for some shiny awards. Do you want to relive memories of an HOL activity? Then The Scrapbook is a place for you.

Enjoy the rest of May and we will see you next month for our last installment this year!
