Hi! Are you new to HOL Hogwarts? As one of the Heads of HOLLERS, Arianna Stonewater, has said before:
Hollers NewsFor those who don't know, HOLLERS is a fun club open to all the houses with something for everyone!! We have a points system called "HOOTS" which you can earn by completing activities! At the end of the month you can earn the aptly named "HOOT Award" by having the most HOOTS! Those who are particularly active in the HOLLERS Forums are eligible to win the "HOLLERS Award" which is given out with staff discretion; sometimes we give one out every month, sometimes a month or two is skipped!
Each month we post 3 new puzzles in our Monthly Challenges. Also, look for different prompts in Creative Outlet - both in the regular part of that subforum, as well as in Writing Under Constraint section!
HOLLERS will be presenting an activity in November - Creature Card Corral. This starts on November 1st and runs through December 12th. House points can be earned and you get an opportunity to search for Creatures in all the Houses and even here in the HOL Forum as well as solve some ingenious puzzles!

House News
Gryffindor
According to Co-Head of House Sky Alton and Prefect Iverian Gnash, Gryffindor will have a new roleplay for November. Their House Paper, The Paw Print, will be coming out soon. (Be alert for openings for submissions for their next issue!)
Slytherin
Arianna Stonewater, a Prefect of Slytherin House, says "November, as far as I know, is pretty quiet while we focus on homework and get ready for Slythmas. Visit the Puzzle Exchange/Read-a-Long/Arcade Club, or read the issue of the Serpentimes that came out in October (next issue due in January). New Slytherins are invited to participate in our Slytherin Sidekick Program to help learn their way around and make new snake friends."
Ravenclaw
Kendra Givens, Head Prefect of Ravenclaw wrote "It's time for the annual Blue vs. Bronze Olympics. All Ravenclaw members should head on over to the Roost to engage in some friendly in-house competition. We're getting numerical this year with the theme 'Our Days are Novembered'. Who's going to earn more activity points this year? That depends on all of you!" She adds: "Alte is accepting submissions for our December issue. Deadline is November 30th."
Hufflepuff
Hufflepuff invites you to come to the Sett. We have Wonders of the World, featuring Volcanoes, in November! Come get warm .... Also we have Together in Thankfulness which starts November 8th. While you are there, try out the Games Tent -- aka DoHGaS (Huffle Department of Games and Sports) and see what new opportunities to have mischief are there for you to indulge in.

Book Club
In Book Club, we have Wintery Trivia and Finish the Quote. A Reading Challenge will be starting mid November. If you are wanting more to do, you can visit Quill and Ink, Ink Splatters and Between the Pages and find some fun in there.

The Art Department
The Art Department has two Projects to vote on - Obviously Organized and Frightening Fortresses. Check them out! Voting ends November 14th.
The Library Department
The Library Department also has two Projects to vote on - Exploration and When Lost Friends Meet. Voting ends here, too, on November 14th.
Gathering and Games
Gathering and Games is happening on the 8th. This is the perfect opportunity to kick back, relax and have fun with other HOLers. It's also a great time to get on IRC and find out what that's all about!
