Welcome to the month of April. Classes are in full swing, departments are offering projects and houses will entertain with fun activities.

Current house point standing is as follows:

However, the values change every day, so keep earning those points! The race is incredibly close this year, so exciting!

Art Department finished with its March projects, but you can still vote for them by April 14th.

This month, the Library Department invites people to dream deep by coming up with dream diaries for Harry Potter characters of their choice (either in all seriousness or by relying on the Potter/Weasley method of Divination). In the second project, they are also trying to get to the bottom of some particularly thorny magical mysteries as they ask just why certain aspects of wizarding culture came about. You can also still vote for March’s projects by April 14th.

Book Club are heading back to Panem as Book Teasers take a look at the works of Suzanne Collins. The weekly page turning challenge of Quick Quotes is also ongoing and so are prompts in Ink Splatters and Quill and Ink. There are beans and awards to be earned!

Quidditch season is slowly winding down, but there are still matches to be had. Come and cheer for RQT and HQT on April 4th and GQT and SQT on April 18th. Good luck to all the teams on these two days!

Quidditch Pick-ups are back on Sunday, April 5th at 10 PM HOL. All are welcome, regardless of their skills at the game.

Gryffindors will be venturing into the great outdoors from the comfort of the Common Room as they embark on a magical camping trip. Tasks are released on Wensdays and Saturdays so grab your hiking boots and look out for changes in the weather.

Also, the Paw Print is also accepting submissions for an issue themed around 'Destinations' with a deadline of April 27th.

Fat Lady’s Portrait can also keep you entertained with discussions and general fun. If forum games are more your cup of tea, then join the lions in Peeves’ Place.

Hufflepuff is starting up St. Mungo's and Other Harry Potter Trivia and is continuing with its monthly challenges. Participate to get a chance at Diamonds and maybe even an award. They are also once more hosting Mandala Magic, where you can stretch your colorful imagination.

Keep your eyes peeled on the Department of Huffle Games and Sports for April ones. You can also always check the games and discussions in The Fireplace.

Gardens are particularly wonderful in spring, which is why Ravenclaws would love to invite everyone to join them as they spend the month of April exploring in the gardens around Hogwarts. At this time of year there will be ample time to enjoy both magical and non-magical plants as well as simply spending time relaxing on the grass and count clouds. As always, you can also join us inside for good conversation in the Debate Club and celebration of music for Ravenclaws only in E=MC Hammer.

Ravenclaw's Alte's colorful issue has closed for submissions! Make sure to read the new issue once it comes out.

Slytherin house newspaper, The SerpenTimes is due on June 15th. The theme is yet unknown (but keep your eyes peeled on relevant topics) and they are always looking forward to the submissions. You can reserve your idea here.

Our brothers and sister in green and silver also encourage all HOLers to join them in their clubs. Go to the Arcade for a change to win a joystick award and Puzzle Exchange to…exchange puzzles of all kinds!

We are ending our newsletter with HOLLERS news. April brings new challenges where you can try your hand at monthly puzzles. If you are a more artistic person, there are four tasks waiting for you in the Creative Outlet concerning internship at St. Mungo’s. You can also try your quill at writing under constraint.

If you want to get more than Hoots and beans, you can always check Inspirational Categories where we accept any art or writing submission for some shiny awards. Do you want to relive memories of an HOL activity? Then The Scrapbook is a place for you.

Enjoy the rest of April and we will see you next month!
