However, the standings can change any day, so keep earning those points and help your house toward history!

Since their reopening, the art and library departments are in full swing! While you cannot participate in April’s projects, you can still vote for those submitted by May 14th. However, fear not, there are two new May projects available to everyone.

Art Department brings Herbology Garden and New Artwork for Hogwarts. The former calls for graphics or photographs of your May flowers, while the latter calls for new artwork that can be displayed in the Hogwarts castle.

The Library Department will be testing your interviewing instincts and powers of persuasion in two less traditional prompts. Get your Quick Quotes Quills at the ready!

Book Club is reading Frogkisser! You can find the discussion for this book here. Book trivia is returning for another month and this time, it is all about libraries. You can still turn in submissions for their monthly prompts here and here to get some shiny awards.

Quidditch is in its last month with two matches on May 11th and May 18th. However, both are currently being rescheduled, so keep your eyes peeled for updates.

Quidditch Pick-ups are back on May 5th at 10:30 pm HOL time. All are welcome, regardless of their skills at the game.

Gryffindor will be taking it easy after April's creature caper by questing in a very peaceful library. Remember though, everything's not always as it seems....

Paw Print is also taking submission and they are due June 18th. The theme is sunshine and you are welcome to reserve an idea here or check out the Prose and Cons.

Fat Lady’s Portrait can also keep you entertained with discussion and fun. If forum games are more your forte, then join the lions in Peeves’ Place.

Hufflepuff is back with its monthly challenges. Keep your eyes peeled on the Department of Huffle Games and Sports for May ones. You can also always check the games and discussions in The Fireplace.

Ravenclaw is sending its students on the path of Hercules. All Eagles are welcomed to join the house each week for three labours where they will be able to exercise their creative and puzzling minds.

Alte is open for business! It is due on May 31st, giving you plenty of time to submit all your wonderful articles and graphics. You can also participate in Alte Bingo for a shiny award, or if short fiction and photography is more your cup of tea, Drabble Babble Challenge. Theme for this month is Two Roads!

HOLers are also welcome to participate in the Debate Club, where the theme is decidedly heroic.

Slytherin is on a roll this month! You still have a chance to participate in the Read Along for the Order of the Phoenix, which will be wrapping up towards the end of May. Soon after, a race for the Emerald Cup will start, but the staff is still working on the theme. Most mysterious!

Slytherin house newspaper, The SerpenTimes is due on June 15th. The theme is Classics and they are always looking forward to the submissions. You can reserve your idea here.

Our brothers and sister in green and silver also encourage all HOLers to join them in their clubs. Go to the Arcade for a change to win a joystick award, GOBstones to discuss all manners of board games and Puzzle Exchange to…exchange puzzles of all kinds!

We are ending our newsletter with HOLLERS news. May brings new challenges where you can try your hand at beating 2048 or solving Shikaku and Mintonette puzzles. If you are a more artistic person, there are three tasks waiting for you in the Creative Outlet concerning Wizarding Pubs and Inns.

If you want to get more than Hoots and beans, you can always check Inspirational Categories where we accept any art or writing submission for some shiny awards. Do you want to relive memories of an HOL activity? Then The Scrapbook is a place for you.

Enjoy the wonderful month of May and we will see you next month!
