Prompt: Something-Not-So-Wicked-This-Way-Comes

Post by Emily Spencer »

Ah, October! Now that summer is past, it's time to break out the pumpkin juice, apple cider, appropriately coloured jumpers, and all-things-scary. Though of course, I suppose if your mum got you one of those horrid jumpers that scream 'my mum gave me this', that could be scary in itself. But seriously, one of the biggest parts of October is, of course, Halloween. And we all know what that means...

It's a time for scary stories filled with ghosts, ghouls, vampires, and all sorts of other horrors. But this year, let's flip the script on its head. The ultimate 'trick', if you will.

The task at hand:

Design a book cover for a book that you consider scary (like Dracula, Frankenstein, etc), but make it 'not scary'. Dracula having a moonlight picnic complete with dancing wolves and wine comes to mind. You get the drift. And remember, keep it HOL appropriate. Enjoy!
