Title: A Whole New World- A Twisted Tale
Author: Elizabeth J. Braswell
Book series: A Twisted Tale
Genre: Fiction, Fantasy, Young Adult
Short Summary: In this twisted version of Aladdin based of the 1992 animation, Aladdin still being the 'diamond in the ruf' is tricked into working with Jafar and enters the cave for the lamp. But Jafar gets hold of the lamp and Aladdin and Abu fall, trapped in the cave without the lamp.
Jafar uses his first two wishes to make himself sultan and then the most powerful sorcerer in the world. Demonstrating his power to Agrabah they live in fear of Jafars third wish.

Aladdin who manages to escape from the cave and Jasmine come together to unite the people of Agrabah into a rebellion

Good Points/Bad Points: I absolute love Aladdin and I really enjoyed reading this story. I think it was really clever to show what it would have been like if Aladdin hadn't met the Genie first. It was interesting to read about other street rats other than Aladdin. It's a darker version of Aladdin too it's not a happy smiley version so we get to see the characters in a different light. I enjoyed everything in this book
