Comments + opinion:
The most brilliant part about the book is the author! He’s a 17 year old in high school and definitely proves that age is just a number when you look at the quality of his writing. This book is what he imagines the world will end up like, in tatters, and constantly battling solar flares. It’s tragic, heartbreaking and it’s about the lives of adults who are living with the consequences of their actions. There were parts I wanted to pull out my hair in frustration, but there were mostly just tears. Especially towards the end. The book gets very sad. But it’s a grappling page turner and definitely something that should get a read more than once.
