Book Review - The Adventures of Milo & Otis

Title: The Adventures of Milo & Otis

The book is about 2 adorable animals, a cat and an adorable pug. The cat is Milo and the dog is Otis. Milo and Otis meet and become friends. Then, they both went out of their home and Milo jumped into a box on the river. Otis says, “Milo don't do that. That is a silly idea. Plus something bad might happen.” Something bad did happen. Milo started floating away in the box. Milo saw a bear that looked like it wanted to eat him. But Otis swam over to the bear and the bear started chasing Otis. Then, Otis found himself in a creepy place and he saw Milo's box with no Milo inside because Milo had jumped out and run far away from the creepy birds. Milo saw a fox and followed the fox to where it had hidden a nice tasty treat. Milo ate it all up while Otis ran away from the creepy place too and went to the water. It got dark and a wave came and made his rock start to sink. A nice turtle let him ride on his back. Then, he saw the fox and asked the fox if he had seen Milo. The fox said that he had. Milo was wandering around and getting tired so Milo lay down on some train tracks. A train came and Milo was super scared. He finally jumped out of the way at the last minute. Then a nice doe came and asked if Milo wanted to sleep with them. Of course Milo did. Then Milo kept on going after his nap and he went and found a tree and climbed up the tree and he watched as an owl swooped down and grabbed a mouse. Then Milo heard a little pig say, “help me!” So, of course, Milo jumped down and went and found the pig and untrapped it. So the pig let Milo come meet its family and curl up for a while. Then Milo went and found a rock in a river and put his tail down to get some fish. There was a raccoon that wanted to eat the fish that Milo caught. The raccoon stole Milo's fish and the bear also wanted to eat it. So, it battled the raccoon but then it saw a yummy snack – Milo! Otis was in the snow trying to find Milo. Milo got too close to the seagulls' babies and so Milo had to jump down the cliff. Then he scurried up into a cave that he saw. But it was the bear's cave. The bear knew that someone was in its house so it came up and tried to find Milo but Milo got away into a tree. But then a snake started trying to grab Milo. Then Otis saw Milo and got Milo out of the hole that he accidentally got stuck in. Then, Otis and Milo started heading home when they heard, “Help me!” in the distance. They rescued a nice white cat named Joyce, and Milo and Joyce fell in love. All 3 of them headed home but Otis got super annoyed so he left them and the snow started falling. Otis heard “help me!” and he went and found a dog like him, another adorable pug. Then, Otis and Sondra fell in love. Joyce and Milo found a safe spot to curl up. Joy started having kittens. Sondra started having puppies. Otis got super excited after one puppy but Sondra said, “come back here.” Then Otis said, “A litter of puppies!” Then Otis decided that they probably needed more food for the winter. So, Otis went out through the snow and finally found Milo. Milo gave Otis some fish to bring home. Otis told Milo about his puppies. They decided that they would meet in the springtime. Otis went back with the fish and then he came back in springtime and all of them made friends together. Then they all headed home.
