Barking, a History - Sue Curtis

Post by Louis Walles »

Title of the book: 'Barking, a history'

Authors: Sue Curtis

Genres: History/Non-fiction

Short summary of the story:
Sue Curtis decided to embrace the city Barking in East London, United Kingdom. She decided to fully investigate the whole history of Barking. Its geographical changes throughout the years, the area developments, notable people, important buildings, religions and more.

Good points / bad points:
I bought this book a while ago, could never forced myself to read it. I used to live in Barking and wanted to get to know this town more. I was mostly focused on the street I was living on at the time, due to the historical house I was living in. Recdntu, I decided to read it and I got really into it. I learnt so much about Barking. And about the local community, about things I had seen on a daily basis, about my secondary school. Great historical book, and well researched.
