A short summary of the story:
What happened before Thomas was born? How did the Flare impact the Earth? This book will answer all of your questions. The solar flares hit the earth survivors were forced to find a shelter in the mountains. Mark and Trina were there when it happened, and survived. But now a disease appeared which makes people go mad. All evidence suggests it will destroy humanity. Mark and Trina are convinced there's a way to save those left living from descending into madness.
Good points / bad points:
The sequel definitely changed my opinion about many things and allowed me to take a look at the world before The Maze. It shocked me in many ways, especially when the way the Flare was exposed to the world. It was interesting to find out more about Theresa's life before WICKED. In addition, I found it slightly upsetting that everyone except Deedee died. I really hoped Alec or Mark will make it. Very good book, which leaves you with a lot of questions and suspicions towards the government and humankind.
