Title of the book: Roots of the Naynab: The Ghosts in the Trees
Authors: Fernandes, Malcolm
Series: A Fantasy Mystery Series of Lore and Horrors- Book 1
Genres: Children, Mystery, Horror
Short summary of the story: This is about a young boy who helps saves an ancient tree from people who wish to destroy it.
Good points / bad points: Good points, it's a fast read. I read it in about an hour with interruptions. It like the concept and the plot is interesting. The bad points are that the book is very flat. I can't picture the characters or their emotions and the "hero" does nothing in my opinion but watch so he is truly not a hero, just a spectator. The title explains the powers which lie with the tree, so the plot was already known from the beginning. Not really a mystery when the title tells us.
