Title of the book: The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane
Author: Kate DiCamillo

Short summary of the story: Edward Tulane is a china rabbit given as a gift to a girl by her grandmother, but Edward does not know how to love even though the little girl greatly loves him. Due to an event, Edward goes on an adventure to learn about what love is and how to love in return.
Good points / bad points: This book teaches children about what can happen if they open their hearts up to hope and love. It shows them that a life without love is dull and boring and pointless, but when we begin to open our hearts and let others in, life becomes meaningful.
Besides the fact that it was relatively short for an adult reader, I don't have any bad points about this book. I think this would be great to share with young children, but it is even good for young adults and adults to read as well.
