Book Review: The Hand of the Goddess

Post by Shiloh Adlar »

Title of the book: The Hand of the Goddess
Author: Tamora Pierce
Series: Song of the Lioness (#2)
Genres: Fantasy, Young Adult

The continuation to Alanna's story and what an adventure it was! I read the first book last month when we read it together, and I fell in love with this tough little girl. This book passes through time very quickly as Alanna gets older and closer to knighthood. She faces more challenges as she gets older, one that's more prevalent being the fact that she is becoming more and more a woman. She makes many discoveries, as this occurs, with the people in her life. More than that, Tortall is set to go to war, and she and her friends must fight for their lives. But Alanna begins to wonder, was it all a set up? She has to discover what is real for herself and what is not.
