The Death Cure - James Dashner

Post by Louis Walles »

Title of the book: The Death Cure
Authors: James Dashner
Series: The Maze Runner (3/5)
Genres: Fiction, adventure

Short summary of the story:

The final book of the series. After weeks of isolation Thomas is finally released by Jason who admits there is no cure for the Flare but most of the Gladers and Group B are immune. He warns them that many people in the outside world hate them because of their unnatural resistance to the Flare, and that if they escape they will most likely be in more danger. Thomas, Newt, and Minho refuse restoration of their memories which was proposed by Jason, and they later escape with Jorge and Brenda. Their goal is to find the Red Arm and stop WICKED once and for all.

Good points / bad points:

The final book of the series is extremely different from the movie. Many original scenes from the book were far more enjoyable than the ones in the movie. Personally, I'm a bit upset that the series is finished. However, I have discovered there are 2 more books from the series, which I can't wait to read.
